A list of accessories I plan buying which will be handy to have with the van, plus any little mods we might like to do to the van.   Due to the fact this is very much a factory built van we have to be very careful what mods we put on it - they all have to be factory fitted or we'll lose value on the van.  I'll try and keep this entry up to date as much as possible. If you're thinking of buying me a present for the van, this is the place to look!

Style Mods:
  1. Wind deflectors.  £30.  Had them on the last van and need to buy a pair for this one.  Lets you open the side front windows a crack for ventilation without any rain coming in.  Great extra and dead cheap.
  2. Front fog lights.  One thing we never got done when we did the work to make our van look like a Sportline.  Still needed.
Kit:
  1. VW Campervan Tea Towel.  £5.95.  Because you've got to have one.  Or two.
  2. A Vanorack.  £295.  This wraps up the upstairs roof area, on the outside, providing a really warm, water proof cover for the 'attic' of the van.
  3. Cadac Safari Chef 2.   £90.  Quality cooker and barbeque in one.
  4. Waeco CFX35 Compressor Fridge.  £600. Runs on tiny amounts of power meaning you can run off the 12v leisure battery for literally days.
  5. VanEssa rear window storage bags.  £325 for a pair.  Keep everything nice and tidy in the back of the van.
  6. Volkswagen RNS 510 - SatNav and DAB radio all built in.  Replacement for the current default radio.
  7. Solar Panel.  £500, including fitting. Keeping the leisure battery topped up when on extended off-grid camping trips.
Others:
  1. Radio rewire to leisure battery.  This little change just switches the cab radio source to the leisure battery so that you can listen to it for hours without fear of flatening the starter battery.
